Higashi Chaya District, one of the Geiko districts featured on the tour, is now a bustling and popular tourist destination in Kanazawa. Join our morning walk to explore the historic streets when there are fewer people around, offering a different atmosphere from the busy daytime crowds.
Immerse yourself in the traditional townscape as you imagine what life was like for the Geiko in the old days—while also learning about how they continue their work in the present day.

This is a morning version of our standard afternoon walking tour.
In this walking tour, you will gain understanding of two Geiko districts located around the Asanogawa River. Explore the main streets and hidden, quite back streets with a local English-speaking guide with fascinating stories. You will learn how Kanazawa Geiko lived in the districts in the past, and how the present-day Kanazawa Geiko inherit the tradition.
You will receive a guide-system receiver with earphones. With this, you will be able to hear the voice of
the English-speaking guide clearly, even if you are 20 metres away, taking photos of the beautiful townscape.
