Take this rare opportunity to have a peak inside a real, active ochaya located in Nishi Chaya District.
The ochaya tour led by 2 Geiko in Nishi Chaya District lets you explore the inside of the ochaya Mi-Ne, learn about the Geiko culture, and appreciate their hospitality including performances of shinobue, dancing, taiko drumming .

Please arrive by 1:25 for check-in. The tour starts with a story on the ochaya and geiko culture before entering the ochaya.

2 Geiko at Mi-ne shows you their ochaya interior in detail, including rooms that even their customers have never stepped inside of.

Have you ever wanted to find out what their kimonos are like, what they carry in their bags and about their makeup/hair? The Geiko tells you all about it!

Performances
Enjoy traditional performances of shinobue, dancing, singing, and taiko drums in a setting same an authentic ozashiki nighttime party.

Taiko drumming experience
Join the geiko to play the ozashi daiko (taiko)
drums - a unique set of small and large drums
unique to Kanazawa.
